
The best savoury breakfast with tofu patties. Enjoy the fancy brunch at home with your partner. It’s a simple recipe which you can easily make in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 250 gm firm tofu
- 1 cup baby spinach
- Bread of your choice (I used multigrain bread)
- Chives chopped
For marination:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- ½ tsp kala namak (black salt)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ⅛ tsp salt

Procedure:
- Squeeze water completely from tofu by pressing it with heavy objects like a chopping board for 30 mins. Then slice tofu into ½ inch thick circle or square shape.
- Marinate the tofu slice by coating all the marination ingredients, leave it for 15 mins.
- Pan fry the marinated tofu until golden brown at the edges on both sides.
- Saute the spinach in a tsp of oil and keep aside.
- Toast the bread with vegan butter
- To assemble, place the toasted bread slice and top it with sauteed spinach, pan fried tofu, and smother it with hollandaise sauce and garnish with chives.
