Fresh green chana is available in winter season in India. Fresh green chana is so tender that you can munch while peeling its outer shell. Green chana is full of rich nutrients. - 1 cup fresh green chana
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp Asafoetida
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- ¼ cup onions chopped
- 3 cherry tomatoes halved
- Peel the shells of green chana, Add green chana in boiling water along with salt and soda. Let it cook for 5 minutes.(soda is used to fasten the cooking process.)
- Drain green chana and pour cold water. This will prevent green chana from changing colour and over cooking.
- In a pan, heat oil, put cumin,hing, add boiled green chana,green chilli, chaat masala. Saute for 2 minutes.
- Remove green chana chaat in a bowl, add onions and tomatoes. Mix and serve.
