Ingredients for filling:

  • 1 cup khoya
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 2 tbsp almond slivers
  • 2 tbsp pistachios
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • ½ cup fine sugar
  • ¾ cup dry coconut powder

Ingredients for crust:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • A pinch of salt
  • Oil for deep frying


  1. Rub ghee and flour nicely, add salt and water to make the dough. Keep it aside for 15 mins.
  2. Roast khoya till brown then let it cool.
  3. Roll out the portion of dough, place a portion of stuffing in the centre, fold it to make a semi circle and press the sides with a fork.
  4. Fry the Gujiyas in a medium heat oil or in ghee.
