Ajwain Bajji

Spice up your snack game with these crispy and delicious Ajwain Bajjis! Ajwain means carom. These ajwain leaves are from my garden.Bajji means fritters or pakora. This simple recipe is perfect with green chutney, imli chutney and ketchup. Try this for this Holi .


  • 15 Ajwain leaves
  • Oil for frying
  • Imli chutney
  • Green chutney
  • Tomato ketchup

Ingredients for batter:

  • 1 cup besan
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp soda
  • ½  – ¾ cup water


  1. Wash and pat dry Ajwain leaves
  2. Prepare the batter by mixing all the batter ingredients.
  3. Dip the leaf in the batter then deep fry in medium hot oil.
  4. Garnish with green chutney, imli chutney, ketchup.
