Majjiga Charu

Majjiga and charu mean buttermilk and rasam respectively. One easy Andhra recipe which is so simple and flavourful. Unique recipes of each state of India is what makes Indian cuisine so elaborate and diverse.

Ingredients:

  •  1 Cup Yoghurt
  •  1 ½ tsp salt

 Tempering ingredients:

  • 1 inch chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 green chilli slited
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • Curry leaves
  • 4 dry red chilli
  • ½ cup chopped coriander
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method:

  1. Beat the yoghurt and add salt then it is called majjiga.
  2. Heat all tempering ingredients and pour over majjiga.
