Pesto is delicious on pasta, bruschetta, pizza and more. This recipe is made vegan by replacing parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast, and the magic is it tastes the same as traditional pesto or maybe even better.
- 2 packed cups of basil leaves
- ¼ cup walnuts or pine nuts
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper as per taste
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Blend all the ingredients into a smooth paste.
